You missed the Motorola Flipout. The keyboard rotated under the screen. It was a clever idea - none of those complicated links slider phones had - but only really worked with a small, square screen.

The article claims that "While cell phones never had a rotary dial...", which is actually not correct about Nokia 7380 that used a rotating system for selecting numbers and texts.
