Poor copy of mighty N9. Why Nokia couldn't design own look for Windows Phones...now someone might think that I'm using Windows Phone when talking to my N9!!! Yikes, what a nightmare, better hit the shop and buy Samsung Galaxy Nexus!!!

They should try something like a transparent unibody. It should have changeable effects underneath like electricity, or burning coal, ice, or if you wanna gross people out then moving maggots :p Now that's something.

There are 3 models based on that design: N9, Lumia 800 and Lumia 900. The three are alike but different. In size, inbuttons, etc.
So they are not "saving" they are going with a design that's different than anybody else. That has been praised be everybody and then some.
I'm glad they are making this design available in different versions.
I have no doubt that they will have other designs. It's just logical.

it will NOT peel as its dyed into plastic. its the whole color of the plastic no matter how much you scratch.

Why do they have the micro usb port exposed so that lint,grime & water can enter? Can`t they just make a "mini slide doors" ther like one can see on galaxy S plus?

Update: Dave Zatz was apparently offered a choice of white or black models when discussing his Lumia 900 pre-order options at a Microsoft store. Maybe we'll see this one from launch.

Hmm so if this is painted and not a polycarbonate body we should expect to see peeling paint after 2 weeks of usage .
