AnonD-24476, 08 Feb 2012How NFC is possible when the os wp7.5 itself doesn't suppor... moreWasn't NFC mentioned with Apollo?
But to call it impossible is still way off. LG may consider the feature important enough for their target markets and made their own drivers. No problem, except apps might not be compatible with native NFC when it comes.
Or, LG asked for the planned NFC specs, and MS were happy to cooperate to get a free field test and see some developers try it out before it's deployed to all users in whatever update it will come with.

This is the best looking WP7 device by LG so far! Pity it was not around when I was considering getting a WP7 phone for the first time last December or I might have gotten this one.
So I settled for the HTC Radar - but don't regret buying it for one minute because the OS runs really smooth and responsive in the 1GHZ single-core chip of the Radar!
And the tiles? Didn't think I'd get to like it at first but now really love it!

sp, 07 Feb 2012WP7.5 does not supported dual-core processer yet but later ... moreOf course it won't.They must build in obsolesence to get out of providing updates for 7.x devices when 8 ships. I bet money they will claim a single core phone is not powerful enough to run WP8. With 6.5 it was that the devices could only do 64K colours and 16M was required for WP7. The problem with that was that MS themselves had enforced the 64K color limit on their devices while everyione else at that time was doing 16M. Deliberate built in onsolesence.

All the new display for WP, and I wonder why a part of this new wonder is dedicated to a dark strip (on the right side). Looks like a huge bezel. Robert Lichota

AnonD-40678, 08 Feb 2012Just like iPhones? They require iTunes to activate and sync... moreThe difference with iTunes is it already had a user base. Apple was smart enough to target their ipod user base, over 100 million ipod owners already have itunes installed so naturally they were the intended targets for the iphones initially. How many used Zune? Not many Zune was a laughable ploy to fight against the ipod.

People are so biased. Windows Phone 7.5 is honestly the BEST mobile OS I've ever used. I've used them all.

Yep! not an Android Competitor. Windows OS is way out of Androids Leaugue in terms of performance. Android is a monster.

I haven't used any of the new windows phones b4, but I did use a WP7 theme thing I got from the ovi app store (i guess nokia was letting us taste what they were gonna make standard) and I really liked it, and as far as I have seen Nokia has been making the most attractive WP7 devices. but they don't have a choice, at this point it's all chips in. go hard or go home. if i get a WP7 device it will be a Lumia but for now I will keep my eyes on the N8.in the country where i currently live content is already limited and having a phone that further limits usability will only hurt. which is why i dont like the iPhone...

Anonymous, 07 Feb 2012Clearly you haven't used WP7 before, just read reviews, tha... moreJust because his opinion doesn't coincide with yours doesn't mean he's never used a WP7 device before. I've used WP7 mango on a Dell Venue Pro, although it's a decent OS its not an Android competitor. The requirement of Zune to activate and upload any kind of files to the device is just unattractive.
You don't like Android obviously, since your opinion of Android isn't the same as mine then obviously according to your fanboy logic you've never used an Android device, funny logic isn't it?
Guess what Nokia/WP7 fanboys, Google just launched Beta of Chrome browser for Android, IE for WP7 is nothing compared to Chrome.
