Baykko, 04 Jul 2019I know you are complaining but your time frames, they sound... moreThats exact.
I bought Asus laptop 4 years ago in 2015 in april for 1022 euros just for gaming with 4GB graphic card 8GB ram and I5 CPU which was impresive at that time.
When i run for example GTA5 at full details game laggs a bit.
Bit for me but for a real gamers it will be a lot.
So to have complete smooth game i have set up everything for like 80%.
For example dark souls series 2 works pretty well even on maximum possible details.
Same for game like diablo 3 or starcraft 2.
my old laptop lasted 6 years and died it was HP for 987 euros.
Hope this asus will last longer.

Well the graphic is amazing whats worse is 400 bucks for just graphicc card which gets old in 2-3 years barrely runnig any top game of that era at highest possible details.
And the whole computer would cost like 4000 bucks and will lasts maybe 4-8 years before its dies.

At this performance and this prices, its actually normal.
It finally gives people with a GTX 970/980/Ti a compelling reason to upgrade to the RTX 2060S/2070S/2080S. And this is what should have already happened a year ago upon release.

One can't help put the two-and-two together, and realise this is a dirty marketing tactic to steal the wind from under wings of the impeding release of AMD's next-gen GPU's (RX 5700). This makes Nvidia slightly better value, and forces AMD to drop prices before they've even released the cards.

All in all, I hope it doesn't affect AMD too negatively. They need the money and profits, so that they can fix the GCN/RDNA architecture so that they can better compete against Nvidia's superior Maxwell architecture (let alone Pascal and Turing). We need all the positive competition and innovation we can get in the stagnating market. And once that's done, maybe we can see Zen2 / Ryzen-3000 CPU's get mixed in with Rdna2 / Navi-3000 GPU's... into something great for the masses (tablets, laptops, mini boxes, cheaper desktops). Who knows, it might even pop-up in the Nintendo Switch 2.

RTX, 02 Jul 2019I'm the only one who feels that 2060 (+2gb vram) and 2080 (... moreIt's not mentioned in the article because it wasn't in the initial press release NVIDIA sent us but the 2070 SUPER is using the TU104 GPU used in the 2080 and not the TU106 used in the 2070, so the 2070 SUPER is essentially the 2080.

I'm not so sure about the gtx 2060 super starting at $400 .. the normal gtx 2060 cost around $350 so .. yeah. not getting cheaper or anything.
it all comes down to benchmarks and real life performance I'm holding off till the AMD stuff hit the market.
