Mi.com India page says it has Snapdragon 439, here manu kumar is mostly talking about K20 n not Redmi 7a, and the major change he was talking before was the camera, they will use sony imx486.

I don't think with SD730 he spoke about Redmi 7a, but some other / upcoming device.
Having SD6xx SoC in all Note series makes sensible assumption of cheapest A series wouldn't have SD7xx series SoC
