That way they will mass produce this tech and increase its demand while the others like Japan, South Korea and America could easily join in market demand created by Chinese instead of starting things themselves. Win-win.

        OLED is not the perfect display for insert the UD camera. I wonder the liquid display would be better, it is ink display like digital-paper.

            It's insane. It was way terrible enough when it was mostly apple in this field... As far as mobiles go.
            But the entire eco system of this market has turned to garbage.

            Ridiculous patents, stalled tech even when now is available, extraordinary prices, nothing but a bigger screen or more ram for such abominable prices, crap for quality and optimizing... And that goes to all including stock Android and iOS as well as apps/etc, pitiful updates... And again all... Either you get more and they are crap or you get few and they are not much better, the unique and advanced looks/features are a thing of the past...
            It just goes on and on and on.

                  Not quite relevent but Gsmarena can you review Huawei Y9 Prime 2019?

                    Nice look smartphone soon will no have notch for front camera. Just hope under display camera will come to mid range smartphone.

                      I don't know how they would patent this.
                      Because I would be treating the entire panel as screen-estate. It would be wasteful otherwise. Or sometimes my UI/usecase would coincide with what Huawei wants to patent, and that's mere coincidence, and this should not be grounds for legal action.

                      I think the whole field of innovation/patents needs a reform, and this isn't just a knock on Huawei or China, but the entire market and Internationally.
