I highly doubt any of that target audience will be interested in which android version they are using. Most new phones at that price market will get one android software update max anyways. The LG phones which are sold in that price bracket may not even get a single software update.

Anonymous, 08 Jul 2019he was referring about the price and the phone features, no... moreNo, I was referring about a better phone right now regardless of their price. Both the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 have the same price in my country right now at Php11,990 ($230), and I bought the Nokia 7 Plus because I believe it is a better phone. It has a more handsome design, bigger display, better camera, and longer battery life.

The Nokia 8 camera may have an OIS but the focusing issue is worst. It may have better screen quality but it's small. Surely, it has a more powerful chipset but I don't need it, I don't play mobile ganes anyway.

Anonymous, 08 Jul 2019can't blame Nokia for the pricing of the units in your area... moreYes i know that.
Having average 600 euros sallary and live in phillipines or Malaysia i am king probbaly in the country.
      But this way its nonsense.
Only way is buying on monthly plans like i have my Moto X4 for 395 bucks since it wre released 15.10.2017 for sale here in Slovakia.
Pying 30 euro phone bill plus 8 per phone per month for 2 years. 38 euros is expensive but have unlimited calls and sms anywhere i want for a month plus 10GB of data.

You can install GCam in this phone without rooting and enjoy the camera quality like Pixel 3.

Anna, 07 Jul 2019This was launched last year with Oreo 8.1 and was later upd... moreIt will get updated to Q itself is a great thing. It should receive Q mostly before 2020 February. What other phone at that price range will get updated to Q around the same time as this phone?
It will then get 1 more year of security updates, mostly monthly. Which is not guaranteed for other phones except cheap Android One phones.
Nothing around twice this price can match the build quality of this phone. Only drawback with Nokia is they don't allow bootloader unlock.

Moreover, Nokia 7 Plus has better design, bigger display, and more battery capacity. Nokia 8's advantage is only the chipset.

Anonymous, 07 Jul 2019just for information: https://m.gsmarena.com/nokia_8-8522.... moreJust for your information Nokia 8 is a 3 year old flaghsip. When it was launched its price was $600, Thats why it has USB 3.1. If you don't the price bracket then understand this way that no midranger have a USB 3.1 even in 2019 and you are expecting to have pretty old mid range device to have it. That is irrelevant.

Great phone. Anyone who handles this phone will surely buy it at this price. Only thing recent phones have is slimmer bezels. But since most of them have notch, this is better.

                                  Thats oricing is insane.
Imagine Samsung Sony or Apple for that price.
Not possible those companies thinks only about money and dream about money no mater how or which way they rob the customer with their unstoppable greed for money.
Nokia selling quality for a very affordable prices better than Xiaomi now.
Where above said companies sells only brand name which has zero value now.
                                  End of story.

By the way here in Slovakia the average price of 6.1 nokia is 220 euros.
Nokia 8 is between 285 and 599 euros cheapest and most expensive.
And the sirrocco cost over 600 bucks.
7 plus is for 360 euros
And the 7.1. from 285 up to 379 euros
And famous 9 Pureview cost from 580 euros up to 833,59 euros.
I rather wont comment pricing in slovakia but compared to average 600 eur salllary per month from half goes to bills like rent, gas, water, electricity, phone bills, internet and bus ticket this is expensive like Samsung galaxy Note 9 made by russian caviar company for 50k or XS Mas which costs 100k

thats a great deal . you get a lott for that price.. most importantly a solid metal phone !
