Sony Xperia 2 case images confirm the design previously seen in renders

It's mostly the same as the Xperia 1, save for the repositioned triple camera.

TheGoldenMellifluous, 11 Jul 2019Predictable. XZ3's spiritual successor is nearing at launch... morePeople have hard time comprehending that but mostly due to Xperia brand not being relevant on the market so it's hard to figure out what's going on. Consumers are very well familiar with Samsung strategy, Galaxy S is the flagship while Note is halo product.

Now same thing happens with Xperia where Xperia 1 is halo product and upcoming Xperia 2 will be the flagship. Last few years Sony usually did two flagships per year, one in spring and one in fall in order to get people who want to upgrade. We had XZ to XZs to XZ1 to XZ2 to XZ3 all released in tic-toc 6 month pattern within 2.5 years. Difference between these models was only incremental when it came to internals, it was never a complete overhaul. Only thing that has sustained complete overhaul with each release was exterior casing design and screens. Premium model was once a year (that's why there was no XZ1 Premium) and all two of them have received complete overhaul both inside and outside. Same is still true for Premium successor Xperia 1.

When they dropped XZ moniker they have introduced some additional confusion especially since they've missed out on the spring flagship product (canceled XZ4) and went straight to premium model Xperia 1. Now there is no more distinction between Premium and Flagship models when it comes to monikers which is unfortunate and that's why everyone thinks Xperia 2 or Xperia 1s is a successor to Xperia 1 when in reality it's a successor to XZ3 from a year ago.

        increase battery capacity sony!

Predictable. XZ3's spiritual successor is nearing at launch (Xperia 1 is XZ2 Premium's spiritual successor, not XZ3 as much people assumed)

is 6" 21:9 ratio a compact? I'm asking since sony pulled out of our local market.

The mi 9SE and S10e feels a bit compact and nearly 6" but i think it can go a bit smaller. Maybe a 5.5" 21:9 ratio should be the new compact.

Then I tried it for a Week due to the natural photo they showed on review. I will have trouble to goes back to 18/9 in 2 years if they discontinue the format. I don't know why, but it looks really good.

I assume you bought one to try it for some days before hating like that? (I say hate because of the "ridiculous" "fail" and your asumption that comes without any figure or proof, like fake point to say you are right)
