yes, if your Vodaphone uses any of the GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 networks and you buy it unlocked, or unlock it yourself.
Usually ulocked versions compatibale with any worldwide gsm-carrier pops up on ebay etc shortly after it's available.

Yes, I am a hardware QWERTY keyboard junkie. Yet, since I don't live in the US, I don't have access to the Droid 4, the QWERTY version of the Galaxy S2 or the multitude of other keyboard-equipped phones that Americans can choose from.
It seems only Sony (Ericsson) still cares about QWERTY around here...

Yet again they play catch up. ICS has now been around offically for nearly 3 months and they cannot even manage the GB 2.3.6 or 2.3.7. True to form they must always lag behind.

DAVe^^, 10 Feb 2012will this thing work on a uk network or does it only work o... moreI would imagine a Milestone 4 variant landing on your side of the Pond, if it isn't already equipped with GSM/UMTS radios as well (making it a proper world phone). Moto definitely doesn't get by on CDMA and Big Red alone. Though, they could try harder on the equipment they release stateside that is HSPA+

I hate motorola. I had droid x, droid x2, droid 3 and, defy and i had 40 apps on all of the phones and NONE of them could handle 40 apps. They are turned themselves off after around 30 hours of use. I hate how motoblur just EATS RAM until the phone literally dies and has to restart to clear its RAM. after a restart, the phone is good and fast. 10 hours later i notice a speed difference, 30 hours and it shuts off. I have the nexus now. AMAZING. it turns off too. but google said it was a new sofware problem and they will fix it in the next update

This will be a great device. But I know a lot of Droid fans tha went with the Razr because this didn't come to market soon enough. If I was on Verizon, Droid 4 would be the handset for me.
Much respect to Moto for not just being another black slab. Shame on them for using Nokia's E7 & X7 as their basis of design. Looks great, because it looks like a Nokia.
