Unpopular opinion: I love curved screens. Switched from a Galaxy S8 to my current mate 20 Pro. Couldn't be happier and I don't know if I could switch to a phone with a regular flat screen.

      Curvy screen could reduce the width of the large screen, making it more fit for your hands.

Lack of 3.5mm jack is pretty much guaranteed, speakers have never been among the best, GPS too. Hardly worth the money (But i'd never consider a phone without the jack even at extremely low price).

                Don't care about the notch if it is functional - have in there some important sensors, dual cameras, good speaker etc. Curved screen is a disappointment for me. Sick and tires of it curved non-sense!

                  omg notch again! and a big one! damn! lets hope they have mate 30 x, pop-up camera or even waterdrop is smaller.

How could you pretend to represent all ... moreJust check the comments on this post and see how many people are demanding a flat screen vs you alone who is okay with the curved screen design. Stick to your ugly and impractical note 9 curved screen if that works for you and with other phone manufacturers following the trend you will never run out of them. But majority of normal users like me want flat, rectangular screen.

                              I was waiting for a successor to the almost perfect P30 Pro, in the hopes it would get rid of the minimal notch and improve the screen to something like the OnePlus 7 Pro. Instead they rolled back to a gigantic notch. Really disappointing.

I, for example, had no issues so far with my Note9's curved edges. And there are screen protectors tailored for curved screens (for Note9, that is). But I must admit, this approach to curved screens is ridiculous.

                                  You drop the phone, you break it whole, and parts fly everywhere!
                                  Just imagine the repair costs. Genius Huawei, you certainly beat apple this time.

                                    Can phone manufacturers stop with this nonsense! You would not accept a monitor or a TV with curved or rounded edge display then why tolerate it on a small phone display! We need more rectangular flat display.

                                        Is it so difficult to listen to consumers and give us a flat screen. The amount of people saying that they prefer P30 flat screen over P30 curved screen is ridiculous. I don't know, maybe in China and India they prefer curved ones....
