I own samsung and owned the s7 and s9+. i would love it if the updates didn't take away features that i used a lot. the dual video record for the front and rear camera? gone. a more hassle to do multi-task windows. os starts to lag, camera glitches. If samsung would stop destroying their phones after updates, it would be the best.

I've used motorola, sony, huawei. So far sony is the one I love the most, I never have tried samsumg or apple, but I'm seriously thinking to give a chance to sammy with the s10. Which one is a better option, s10 or P30? I'm between this 2 for my next phone.

Money's not a problem for me.
Tried all main brands. Sony, LG, Samsung (s5 and s8), Huawei (p20 pro and p smart 2019), HTC. I'm happy with the iPhone (i had 5s, 7 plus, XS all of them still look like new).
Always tempted by the Note series but always end up with an iPhone.
No restrictions for me as I stream 100% of the content on my phone and works brilliantly with the iPad Pro and my car is only compatible with apple carplay (BMW).
Unless a brand comes up with significantly better options I'd stay with Apple. By significant I don't mean camera and notch size.

I recently bought a Oneplus 7 here in India and it is the best the decision I ever made. Period.
I got it for Rs. 31,000 ($452) after bank offer. Also I got lots of great offers from carrier jio. I even got Rs. 1000 (~$15) off my last flight!
The phone is so great I cannot ask for anything more.

No brand can afford my loyality.
If I like it, I buy it, I don't care if Apple, Meizu, LG, Xiaomi or any other chinese manufacturer made it.

I use smartphones for music. HTC was my favorite manufacturer because they allow bootloader to be unlocked. This allows custom recovery and zips to be flashed and root. I found an HTC Desire 816 for low price. It has become my music player.
I bought a used HTC One M8. I rooted it but realized the Duo Camera only works with HTC based ROMs, so no stock Android. The treble is not as smooth as the Desire 816. I also replaced the aging battery but when I put my phone back together the SD card slot stopped working.
I then decided I will move on from HTC for my next smartphone purchase new or used. If I buy a phone without a removable battery, I will look up guides to determine if it is worth the trouble to replace. Motorola is easy to replace. Sony is easy to replace even fully sealed. Out of the mobiles I have used, my favorite manufacturers would be HTC, LG, Motorola, and el cheapo ZTE. I am willing to try these in the future, although older devices only: Huawei, Samsung, Sony and Xiaomi.

I have a problem with this graph. For example, 70% of apple users will buy apple again. Therefore the remaining 30% should be distributed or will represent other preferred brand, adding 70% of loyal iphone users will bring total to 100%. How come adding all the total for apple exceeds 100%
Another example is xiaomi's loyal customer is 37%. So what is the next preference of the 63%?

brand loyalty is dead, what consumers want are barely provided by brands, if they were indeed loyal to their brands why do they still see their brand dying and losing profits, they most loyal of consumers are being treated as nothing but cashcows, where are the most innovative of things as promised but never delivered, if they are truly loyal to them, how is it they still dont deliver on their promises?! brand loyalty matters in this age? not?! or does it?!

I have tried lots of brands none really standout from the rest tbh they all have their little niggles, currently using a Realme and am loving the experience.
If there is any brand that has let me down as in the phone failing that award goes to HMD

I started with a Xiaomi device and later on switched to Google Pixel XL. In the meantime I also tried out devices from Apple and Samsung. Each of this brands has something special, but I choosed to stick with a Google devices on a long term. Love the UI and all the features on a Google Pixel!

Iphone 8plus user here. I have bought it second hand 3 months ago with 1 year warranty still available. Payed about 500 euros. I am not really an Apple fan, because it is actually my first iphone.
I had owned pretty much every Android phone manufacturer in the past 9 years, except Google and One Plus. My last one was the S9 plus, which I was very disappointed with, software wise. This led me to try an iphone for the first time.
In my opinion, new iphones are very expensive and tend to remain behind in the hardware department, but software wise they are better. Also, you can get at good prices, old models (like iphone 7 or 8) that will get updated by Apple for some years ahead.
But, if you just want that good looking phones with hardware delight (on paper at least), then stick with Android phones.
Sorry for the long post, I don’t have any potatoes.

One reason why I plan to stick to the Pixel is size.
The smaller Pixels are one of the rare flagships with a manageable size in the Android world. Anything bigger than my LG G5, I'm not buying it. That's why I haven't bothered looking at Samsung Notes, Huawei Mate Pros, and OnePlus.

Since breaking my Essential Phone a month ago, I was really considering getting a Pixel 2. Then I saw this...

I guess I already have the best Pixel or at least the best Pixel for me. It's not perfect by any means. Battery life on mobile data can leave alot to be desired. But everything else, it's pretty amazing. Have no regrets selling my LG V20 for $200 to get the Pixel 3 for $450.
I might be an Android Guy for life unless Fuchsia takes over. That's nice to see Apple have the highest satisfaction again but I can never go back to iOS. I will only buy Apple computers for now on but never again with iOS. But for people who enjoys them, stick to them. Stick to brands that makes you happy.

I don't have a #2 favorite for each of them. I could say LG for phone brand but not really. I love my G5 (again) but I don't really love LG products. And I'm not into Nintendo and Microsoft when it comes to gaming. I also enjoy Sony movies. Can't wait for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
Maybe someday I will get a Sony Xperia but their phones haven't really stood out for me since the Z3. They're really not the best at anything whether software updates or camera. Their recent designs have also been as bad as Google's. I don't see anything special buying a Sony phone. Some who love it are probably really PlayStation fans blinded by Sony.

Pretty happy with the budget Lenovo and Samsung phones I've used in the past and might consider an upgrade. Probs get the S10e in a year or two because of its rapid depreciation (already 20% off here and there). It's the only mainstream compact phone I can find after all.
