Sony may have low specs on paper but software optimization will help the phone to run fast.

I prefer a Pixel for stock Android and it being free of Samsung bloat/crapware. Then again, occasionally Samsung actually fixes the bugs and annoyances found in stock Android, and because Samsung is the Android market leader, it's easier to get accessories and spare parts for a Samsung phone.

Here's an idea: if you're really that budget conscious, you should be able to buy a lowrange used/refurbished budget phone from 2 or 3 years ago for under $100.

Week 28 now. 28 more weeks to go. My preferred 16:9 is dead unless it is budget or tablet. Very sad manufacturers abandoned consumers like me. That being said I had saw and felt a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in public and it is premium, but I do not need S-Pen or AMOLED display or flagship processor. In reality I would not mind large phone with Samsung tiny bezels (no notch) at reasonable price. Until 6 inch phone for under $100 is out, no thank you. I rather use 16:9 under 5 inch than these puny thin phones.

Note10 looks better but the Pixel line will be the one I will stick to for good. One reason why is size.

The smaller Pixel is one of the rare flagships with a manageable size in the Android world. Anything bigger than my LG G5, I'm not buying it. That's why I haven't bothered looking at Samsung Notes and OnePlus.
