5 front holes thats veird and strange.

Selling tips for the Mate 30 Pro:
I will NOT buy this phone is it does not have 4K@60FPS, Full HD@120FPS, Normal Micro SD support (I will not buy their Nano SD's)

Face ID can easily be tricked by twins that look very similar - this doesn't work with finger prints, even twins still still have different finger prints.

Leave it to Apple to make outdated, butt ugly monster notch phones from yesterday for outrageous prices.

Especially now that Huawei is subjected to Trumps lies about entirely made up "security concerns" (if they weren't entirely made up, they would've shown proof long ago), Huawei should put full effort into only releasing the most pleasing phones - and butt ugly monster notch phones are certainly anything but pleasing.

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2019We should blame sammy for making samoled popularSuper Amoleds are the best displays on the market and they are more than capable of displaying 90fps but the problem is the battery life look at the OP7 Pro it can't reach more than 4 hours of screen time if you only use the 90hz mode

The notch is outdated it's a thing for Apple to keep using for the next few years but not Android devices and what other than the front camera do you need on the front ? face unlock is a gimmick feature you only need a fingerprint scanner
Other Chinese manufactures like Xiaomi and Oppo are putting the camera under the display and here comes Huawei with their big ass notch...

Please no, 13 Jul 2019Good grief, Huawei, please don't ruin the Mate 30 Pro by st... moredo you actually believe HUAWEI would release their top notch phone for the year with those problems...that notch is the only phone allowed to have a notch because if you knew what that notch is capable of..then you wouldnt complain so much about design

shilran, 14 Jul 2019it is stupid to use a notch again. out of fashion. oh really and what do you suggest they do? Tell me do you know what that "notch" is capable of

If you're looking for a teardrop notch/punch hole camera, you should look towards the non-Pro model. Also they won't use pop-up camera for their flagships due to the durability concern and weaker water resistance.

Good grief, Huawei, please don't ruin the Mate 30 Pro by still sticking to that horrible notch concept. NO ONE is using that anymore (except Apple... paying tomorrow's prices for yesterday's phones is so exciting!)

They should either have a glory hole in the upper left (not centred, that looks awful), or better, not notch at all, and a pop-up camera. Or perhaps the hole on the non-Pro, and no notch and pop-up on the Pro, so you actually have a reason to go for the Pro.

The edge design is likewise just plain stupid. Frequent phantom touches, poor accessibility on the edges, makes the device much more fragile, no proper display protectors who can go around the edges...

Please don't do this nonsense anymore, Huawei.

Give me the X. Flat 7.5 90Hz screen, headphone jack, true stereo speakers, graphene cooling,5200mAh battery. Throw in 5g and my phone may last as long as my 10 year old truck with 350k on it.

AnonD-762416, 13 Jul 2019Thank Samsung for these things. Oppo is an OEM.Sure, but like said, OnePlus brought it to market and made it mainstream, they're the ones who requested this spec and Samsung made it for them. Samsung has the tech, but it's not them who's releasing it to consumers.

Baykko, 13 Jul 2019IDK if we should thank OP7 since other gaming centric phone... moreOnePlus surely wasn't first, but they're kinda making it mainstream while "gaming" phones are a niche product that isn't all that interesting to most users.

That notch is not bad at all. It is very slim, so if you were to enable a virtual bezel, it would end up looking like a thin Xperia 1 style bezel from the front.

Personally i prefer that over a punch hole that you can't get rid of. Also, proper face scanning hardware is also useful if you're into that.

Hopefully by next year, all these sensors would sit behind the screen, and work just as well.

Nick Tagataka, 13 Jul 2019Or OnePlus for actually bringing it into a non-gaming smart... moreSamsung is the one doing all the research and development of these displays. Be it higher frame rate or curvier edges. Samsung has used higher frame rate on their devices for years, in Gear VR mode. It's not hard to enable that with AMOLED, as there is virtually no latency in AMOLED. It's not LCD. The reason you don't see it widespread is simply because battery life is the main concern on mobile, adding 30 more frames to render every second costs a lot of processing power.
