Kangal, 13 Jul 2019Not quite. Here's how it should look like: Low-end QSD ... moreI only considered SoC that used Qualcomm Kryo cores and left out SD820, SD821, and SD835 because it would require more columns to include them.
I also stated that my original list was how I saw those SoC which implied my personal preference.
However, here is a list according to Qualcomm's Kryo hierarchy:
Kryo series5
Kryo250 (SD632)

Kryo series6
Kryo260 (SD636, SD660, SD665);
Kryo360 (SD670, SD710, SD712);
Kryo460 (SD675)

Kryo series7
Kryo470 (SD730, SD730G)

Kryo series8
Kryo280 (SD835);
Kryo385 (SD845, SD850);
Kryo485 (SD855)

Kryo series9
Kryo495 (8CX)

    Stil SD665 si awesome.
    Redminote 7 have SD675 which is a lot better than A50with its exynos and cost 100 less bucks.
    This going to be same.
    A lot cheaper and better phone than Samsung and other comparison.

        This is the most plain, generic, mainstream looking phone I've seen to date. Besides hole punch and pop up camera is notch the only obligatory design that people would only consider purchasing today? Why do android OEMs even bother to sell phones with notches when they can't even get rid of the ugly uneven chin? Why is notch + chin widely accepted for phone enthusiasts whereas small top bezels phones such as the Xperia 1 and the rumored Pixel 4 are hated so much?

        I know I'm being overly critical for a mid range phone but I hate this notch + chin so much, I get that the notch is here to minimize bezels, but the chin just makes it super distracting from design standpoint. Minus hole punch and pop up cameras, almost all modern android phones look the same you can't even distinguish it one from another. Xperia 1 & Pixel 4 top bezel > pop up cameras (no IP rating) > any notch with ugly chin. Fight me.

                There are rumors that there are two versions mi a3 and mi a3 lite.These specification are might be for mi a3 lite version.

                  SD665? Come on Xiaomi, you can do much better than that with the SD7xx.

                      Question: why does the picture for the renders for the top and bottom edge of the phone show a camera bump near the bottom of the edge? Does it have 4 cameras on the back lol?

                        Wish they sticked the design of mi A2

Everythi... moreThe problem is that the market is flooded with big dimension phones and if you want a smaller form factor the options are very limited in the mid range. S10e, sony xz2 compact, etc. are too expensive. The only option is this year's a40 or last year's xa2, nokia 7 or q7 plus. Those are 4 phones for the past 2 years. There could be others, not available in my market, but they surely are not that many. Whereas you could choose big size phones from whatever brand and with whatever spec you want in any of the price ranges(low, mid, high).

But since we don't know how the Adreno 610 performs against the 512 (some said these two GPUs would give essentially same raw power), I think we should keep our expectations low and while a bump on screen resolution to FHD+ clearly hurts some gaming performance (than that lowly HD+ used in Mi CC9e), it may still perform pretty good for a $250 phone. Just don't expect any miracle from it. It reserved for the Mi 9T/ Mi 9 instead.

                                Anonymous, 13 Jul 2019If you consider these as low end than what do you think abo... moreTo be honest, the name of the SoC is not important. What is important is it's Efficiency, GPU, CPU single-core, and Total CPU Performance.

                                In the same Category (Low-end) as the QSD 625, we also need to recognise the identical/sister chipsets of the QSD 439 and QSD 450, and the previously mentioned QSD 617, QSD 626.

                                As for SoC's like the QSD 429, or similar/worse ones in the Snapdragon 200 and Snapdragon 400 class. These are chipsets that I would say aren't worth getting since they don't offer much in the way of advantages over other obscure chipsets from Exynos, Kirin, MediaTek, RockChip, AMLogic, Allwinner, VIA etc etc. You would put these in the category of Entry-Level.

                                Entry-Level:
                                Under $100, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 480p display
                                Low-End:
                                ~$150, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 720p display
                                Mid-Range:
                                ~$250, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 1080p display
                                Upper-Midrange:
                                ~$350, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 1080p-HDR display
                                Flagship:
                                ~$500, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 1440p-HDR display

                                ...I hope that helps.

                                PS: I have a pretty substantial list of all the chipsets, and their whereabouts on the hierarchy. Let me know if you are interested in it. It's pretty long.
