        This is probably not a good idea. The K20 and K20 pro are budget phones. Adding gold to it makes it what? "A costly budget"? No matter what it's coated with, it'll remain the same... Its like wearing a gold plated flip-flops.

                HAHAH exactly. All Xiaomi oppo huawei budget phones are super thrash. Same for Samsung.

                  Just some marketing to build some hype around the K20. Probably a "very limited" edition.

                    I don't want K intials, I want my intials on the back..
                    Crap... keep your K with you redmie. No one's gonna faunt that he is a killer. If mi would have been written it was understandable.

                          Just because same phone from apple or Samsung would cost 5-10 times more and because a money hungry companies which sells their devices with 500% price increase from manufacturing price is like a robbery on a customer which i would never support no matter what.

                            I seriously doubt they will produce numerous units of this. Most likely these will be made based on preorders... that is if this isn't simply a big joke.

                                    This will give losses to the company. I don't think anyone would have the money and mind to buy this. I don't remember seeing anyone wielding a Stuart Hughes custom phones (if I remember correctly).

                                      I don't think anyone with the money to afford this thing would actually do it. And the reason why is because Xiaomi brand is associated with budget and affordable, cheaper products, not with luxury. To add to that Redmi brand is even more budget oriented and regular version of these phones is below $500, it may have made a bit of sense if they did it with Mi MIX 3 or some more expensive phone, but it simply doesn't make any sense with a $300 phone. It's like a gold plated Corvette. That cars is high performance and really good looking, but anything but luxury
