Baykko, 22 Jul 2019Because those devices are cameras and nothing more. On the ... moreYes correct but those pretty good photos are good only on a small screen.
Print even a P30 pro photo on a poster size and you wont like it because it will be blurry.
Or review your photos on a cinema size screen and you also wont like them.
Even a phone for 1000 bucks have only good enough camera for just a 6 inch screen.
Anything bigger will looks like drag.

On the other hand cellphones are personal computers capable of handling all kinds of tasks but they are still meant to be carried in your pocket. they are jacks of all trades but masters of none. your cellphone will never beat a gaming PC yet they can be used for gaming, nor they will beat a pro camera but they can still take good pictures, they cannot beat a personal assistant but they can handle your whole agenda for you and remind you of events, and so on.

And yet even a Sony, Canon, Nikon or Fujifilm camera for just 150 bucks outpreforms any cellphone ever made even P30 pro the best camera phone of 2019.

Ball peen textured sky, radial blur, lack of fine detail, and edge tracing artifacts so bad that the levels clip. Yep, it's a cellphone camera.

ALL highend and even midrange devices can take great photos in outdoor/daylight scenes LOL.
Take this in indoor/lowlgiht setting and see how horrible the quality is.

"...he shot in Chile" I am pretty sure he didnt. I am pretty sure those shots were being taken by some nature pro photographer. It is always the same story, someone who worked for national geographic for twenty years makes some pictures in the nature, to make people believe that they are going to make similar pictures with the phone. When in fact the actual photographer have to make so many compromises and only publish 10 out of thousands pictures (even maybe with some post processing). From those pictures you can clearly see that the person taking them is no amateur and understands composition and light very well, i doubt that those are being taken by some "co-founder dude".

Oversharpening hurts my eyes. If those images are coming straight out of the camera then I gotta say that it must have some horrible cameras.
