To be honest, that doesn't instil confidence in the brand.
It goes to confirm my suspicion that Xiaomi is not good designer or pro-consumer, but are happy to take up any trends to make themselves seem luxurious even if its at the expense of the customers.
I mean, they are talking about removing the front speakers, if they introduce the Headphone Jack. If they do that, they will continue to lose sales. Besides, they only have one speaker on the phone and that's the bottom one, the top one isn't a loudspeaker, it's a large earpiece. That's the same as the Pixel 3XL, which uses the earpiece as a mid-high tweeter and the loudspeaker as a mid-low woofer.
This is unlike what we see on the HTC M8, ZTE Axon 7, Razer Phone 2, ASUS RoG Phone, and the Nubia RedMagic 3. See the teardowns if you are skeptical.

Pro better also equal a headphone jack, expandable memory (despite Xiaomi NEVER doing this), higher refresh rate, and bigger battery. I mean, what do I care? The Black Shark Phones never have US bands anyway...

I think by just adding new CPU with marginal effects, it won't deserve pro next to its name. I assume this version will host 12GB RAM as well (or at least hope so). I wonder how poco update fits all this; actually will there be any update of pocophone line. While some people saw MI 9T Pro (aka K20 Pro) to be actually that update, I wonder if that whole line is dead and replaces by BS line for good.

Better open the bootloader for users this time which I really hope they will do so. BS2 disappointed me badly.

Now if we can get this for the Poco F2, that's going to be sweet. Or has the handset been finalized? Not really sure if the K20 Pro will be rebranded as Poco F2...Oh well, I guess we'll need to wait until September, then...
