The phone is somewhat odd, offering a number of upgrades over last year's Mi A2, but also a few downgrades.

I went to see it in a shop and it looked fine at first glace. that is probably my 15 inch laptop still runs a 720p display however i do have a galaxy s5 neo with a 5.1 inch 1080p display si i doubt if i go for this one for an upgrade. but man that android one is so tempting haha.

We do have to wait for hard real world testing but antutu is a widely used benchmark by most mobile phone review sites. So that the sd660 outperforms the SD665 in antutu doesn't really show the 665 in very good light considering it's a much newer chipset. But hopefully the MI A3 will have optimised the performance of the SD 665 and it will outperform the SD 660 in the review.

                    sd660 use higher clock than sd665 on their clusters
                    adreno 512 use quad channel ddr4 / adreno 610 use only dual channel.

                    check "adreno technical details" on wikipedia

                    sd660 is definitly a downgrade in term of performance.

The antutu test shows the 665 slightly slower in the cpu department and very slightly better in the gpu department. Of course the 665 should run cooler and supports a better dsp and other tech but performance wise it's actually measurably worse than the 660 in Antutu at least.
