Xiaomi Mi A3 in for review

The phone is somewhat odd, offering a number of upgrades over last year's Mi A2, but also a few downgrades.

    Worse notch & display. Downgrade of Xiaomi Mi A2.

      For me its perfect. Its got the jack. Its got the AMOLED. With a screen so small 720p is not a problem. Its got those cameras and especially the wide angle. With the AMOLED 720p panel the battery is what I'm hoping to be is very good. SD665 doesn't bother me as anything better than the the 630/439 will suffice.

          n°2.Screen resolution = 720p only (no 1080p on youtube and netflix, amazon ...etc)

              Good for daily use...!!!

                I hope Mi A3 Pro gets launched... That would be the phone to get even with its higher price tag

                  Interesting.
                  Something good sign is coming even mia3 using hd+ resolution.
                  But with upgrade amoled panel, better deal.
                  Sometimes need mid-powerful SoC with lower resolution (min. HD+) so we got better performance for gaming if u can't afford flagship.

                  HD+ with good tuning display = good sign for android.

                          On paper, Mi A2 sounds better except for a few nuances.
                          Waiting for the review to change that or confirm it :)

Just because it has 720p, it doesn't mean it's crappy. Previous China-made IPS LCD suffers light bleeding and image retention, Xiaomi learns from that it's even good that they're going full Super AMOLED even on their cheapest tiers. If you don't like it, don't buy it, it's just that simple.

                                    Please allot ample part of the review for the 720p screen. Better if you have side by side comparison with 1080p Mi A2 phone.

I've re... moreGSMArena were not even a part of Xiaomi and their statements regarding "roadmaps" would be just pure speculation. Want speculation? Xiaomi's A series were not their focus because they have very small profit on this platform, no ads as default, no MIUI cloud services that can be enforced. They only cater Android One just to sell more as much as they can without cannibalizing their own MIUI-based phones.
