I've said the OP 7 Pro has a better display when it comes to HDR content and color. But for smoothness, ROG 2 is better. Read properly next time please.

"Asus ROG Phone II - hot or not?" for me a definitely NO! well... actually is a matter of habits and preferences... I do prefer to play my games on a 1000eur, i7 gen.9, 32 g ram, 6g video rig + a 500eur 27"monitor + stereo sound system, sitting in a comfy ergonomic chair vs playin' on a cramped 6"display squatting on the street curb or huddled in a chair in a bus or metro.... :)))

In just a simple nutshell and OVERALL, YES it is definitely HOT!

For most people who are looking for a finished product, RedMagic 3 just does not cut it. ROG Phone 2 is super prepared out of the box.

tersemgt, 28 Jul 2019this phone not has micro sd slot , no DAC , , battery is sm... moreNo DAC? Who says the inbuilt one is not good? And the battery is small for the display? What are you smoking?
Where were you when Mate 20X with 7 inch display had 5000 mAh battery? Or the XS Max having 3300 Mah (approx) for a 6.4 inch display? This phone has the highest battery capacity per inch of the screen.
Please come up with better arguments.

AnonD-558092, 28 Jul 2019It's 2019 and you still don't realize how much convenient a... moreWell, there are reasons to this. The first one is money, and the second reason plays into it.
So, if you can remove the battery, you can't fix it when it breaks. That's prompts you to buy a new phone, which will make them money instead of a 3rd party battery maker.
Second, batteries nowadays have gotten good. Li-ion is coming to an end, and graphene batteries are soon to replace it. We have also reach high capacity. For example, there was a time when 1000 mAh was God. Now, the Energizer P18K Pro (I think that's what it's called) has an 18,000 mAh battery, and the Asus ROG Phone II itself has a 6,000 mAh battery. So, the consumer now has less of a reason to need removable batteries.

Android gaming is a joke in comparison, every casual and serious gamer, from console gamers to PC gamers, are laughing at you!

Price for the specs are great but all high endphones can game. This is not for everyone. I still can't figure out why a true game would play on a phone.

Yeah that's gonna be a no for me dawg. This expensive "gaming phone" can't play games any better than a cheaper flagship that has an SD845/SD855, the SD855+ is just an overclocked version of the SoC that preceded it and even though it performs slightly better on paper it still doesn't enhance the overall gaming experience, which is very poor to begin with. This niche market will die very quickly, only a few Chinese companies will continue to produce these so-called "gaming phones" until they come to their senses. Don't expect big, established companies like Samsung or Apple to jump onboard either because they know better lol. And last but not least, why does every gaming device out there have to look so cringy?! Do companies think only little prepubescent kids and edgy teens play games?

Biggest weakness is its software if the boot-loader not locked, i would consider it.
Asus do less updates look at their previous ROG phone. I will wait and see how they deal with updates or issues with first batch of phones.
