This should be interesting. I hope they can beat the SD710 at least in terms of GPU performance. Historically MTK chips have been way behind SD chips in terms of GPU performance over all the segments.

Like the M70, I really hope this won't be a Gaming version of the P90. I hope they're both aiming for the X40 I've been waiting for; top performance, the ability to have at least a 2K display, and the ability to capture 4K video at 60fps for the first time in MediaTek's lives. Those features on more budget phones would be great!

If MEDIATEK use PowerVR Furian GPU then its will be beast even compared to Mali GPU.

No doubt Qualcomm make fantastic SoC that are always superior in every department,simply the best you can get in any android phone.
But with their patents the made policies that were nothing less than pure evil.
Maybe Mediatek would have been completely different & much more competetive if Qualcomm didn't played its dirty game.

They haven't made a flagship processor since X30. If Mediatek makes a Helio X40, then that's the right comparison.

The black and white view where something is either the fastest (according to a useless benchmark) and most expensive available, or it's completely broken and shouldn't be used at all, is uninformed and ignorant.
You could put this chip in any phone with a (supposedly) faster chip, and nobody would notice any difference until they run a useless benchmark and compare useless numbers.

No one is stupid to fall for this, simply slapping a "gaming" tag won't make it sell
Everyone looks into specs and performance of the reviews before buying it
“Gaming" tag is the worst tah to ever exist!!!
