This is similar to an early HTC Windows Phone 7 device. But even before then, there was the Nokia N95, which had a twin-slide just like this. One portion had the Number Pad, the other had the Media Buttons.
Overall, I'm not liking this design.
I honest like the previous patent for the ZTE Iceberg, especially if you have 17:9 screen, where the top and bottom notches can store the Sensors, Selfie-cams, and Front-firing stereo loudspeakers. Basically like a more compact Razer Phone 2 or ASUS RoG Phone 1/2.
