this is a waste phone .... except for ICS it has nothing to offer.
Its ridiculously huge to be called a phone, no sd card, flash problems, 5mp cam. I think even google is not happy with it and hence discontinuing it and also couple of weeks back ther was another article which said they are discontinuing support for verizon nexus ... guess they were in hurry to launch some phone with ICS as apple was coming up with 4S.

Perhaps they are going for a 64gb version. Thats the ONLY way I'd get this phone. ICS is nice but no SD Card slot killed it for me. You can fill up 16gb too fast and 32gb is decent but recording video will eat that up. Hopefully this is in response of bringing a 64gb version out or one with preferably a SD card slot.

It's a mediocre phone anyway with a mediocre camera. limited functionality, a high price tag and a yellow screen.

This is exactly why all phones should have microSD expansion. The consumer can then decide what storage capacity they want, or easily upgrade later when the price of SD cards drop.
(are you listening Sony?)

you understand that an iphone only supports 64 gig if you buy a 64 gig version. if you have an iphone 16 gig, you still have 16 gig.
not having expandable memory is a frustration, but wp7 and ios manage it without anyone blabbing.

2) Cost is not material to Apple customers. That's why Apple is able to offer the 64GB version of the device at twice the price. Android buyers tend to be careful with their money.

How does this mean it's been cancelled from manufacture?
All it tells me is that the retailer will now not stock it so they just check the "discontinued" checkmark in their ecatalogue. There were obviously pre-orders.

If desire to 32 GB would be so big, they would make'it. But majority of Galaxy Nexus is sold thru Verizon, Vodafone etc. and they do not want to buy and offer 32 GB version. I think, if you want to buy 32 GB version, you will find it on market.

Seriously speaking why would the memory space of such a premium device as this be capped at 16GB? If 10sec of HD video gobbles up a cool 100MB+ then someone is not doing the math here. And now that the 4S supports up to 64GB capacity,Google and Samsung can as well tell where multimedia fanatics with high memory demands will look.I'd rather there was a micro-SD slot.

My guess is that Samsung wants to ruin the success of the Galaxy Nexus, because they make more money on the Galaxy S line-up.
