AnonD-863872, 02 Aug 2019how is it not secure?Put yet another complex software layer between you and your bank, a hundred things can and will go wrong. Just another thing that needs constant security updates.

And this software layer is Google by the way, the for-profit American company that collects information for itself and the U.S. government. Why would anyone happily give them insight in how you spend your money?

I think it's just not for me because I often go out without phone and only have 1 card, that is easier to get in a Pocket, especially in summer when you only have a small pocket.
I would go with paylib in this case, since it's the solution of the banks and not a manufacturer/GAFA I don't trust at all.

I just love the tag line Google has for this product.

And if your phone has NFC, then you can use it just like your card. The difference is your card is "always ready to read", while the phone has to send the data first. And if you have multiple cards, you can store them all within the app.
The only downside is that it's Google. It might be secure, but they like to play with the data. So who knows how really secure it is.

I use Google Pay on a daily basis I love it.

French here, never ever heard of PCS. And what I see on the internet doesn't feel really used here.
Plus, my credit card is NFC, why should I bother using my phone, launching the app, identify myself, when it's just seamless with a card? Or is it working without identification and launching the app automatically? Still, I wouldn't give my phone to the seller for him using the wireless, too many risk he drops it to the floor, because here it's often the seller that have the terminal in hand and you just give him the card. And for sure, I would use my bank app rather than gogol that has far too much power already.

Rather than nfc hardware bound, you should imitate china and do QR code payment. Less hassle and both need internet connection anyway

More and more places are using NFC for contactless payments. Yet RealMe and Redmi don't bother adding it the their phones. Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 are 200 Euros in Europe. For that price people expect contactless payment support. Honor, Nokia and Moto devices costing the same have NFC
