Therefore if this turned out to be true, then the upcoming Iphones would still feature a lightning port (which personally for me sucks) unless they make a new pencil or make the 2nd gen pencil support the upcoming iphones. Now this is a bummer since i would really love the iphone to have a type c

someone, 01 Aug 2019You clearly have no idea in what context that statement was... moreWhat task can a fat finger not do?
The only user that wants a pencil on a phones are KIDS.

Note taking? Fat fingers can type faster then ur pencil and save much much more space. Screen space is very valuable on iPhones.

Drawing? Wtf... then do people start drawing on a canvas smaller then A4?? Its a joke.

Keep that damn pencil away from iphone.

Its going to be an expensive one xD

Back in 2007 touch screens were typically interacted with stylus. So when Jobs introduced the iPhone the best part was to touch and interact with your FINGER and not needing a stylus ... thats the context of "Who needs a stylus"
Apple pencil is used for more accurate tasks which your FAT finger won't be able to do.

Big screen iPhones and now stylus. Finally we're Note users can live in peace.

Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave so many times during the past years, they should have strapped a generator onto him. They could probably power the entire Apple Campus with the amount of grave rolling he's doing.

Didn't late Steve Jobs said: "What are we going to do? Oh, a stylus, right? We're going to use a stylus. No. No. Who wants a stylus? You have to get 'em, put 'em away, you lose 'em. Yuck! Nobody wants a stylus. So let's not use a stylus." (Cr)Apple SHOULD have at least honor what late Steve Jobs had said and follow. He will not let it happen on an iPhone if he was still alive.
