Report: HTC will be returning to the Indian market this month

01 August 2019
We can also expect a flagship phone to come along too.

If pricing is right, it will be succesfull. The downfall of HTC was keeping prices high even sales was slumping down, same happens with Sony, looks like brand power is more important for leadership and it is biggest mistake they do. In smartphone business it is more important how do you adjust to dynamic markets. If your sales goes down and you previously had strong brand, meaning the only way to compete is to start with reducing prices and adjust other stuff after, not keeping prices high and pretend that your brand is everything and people will magically keep byuing your stuff.

If they continue overpricing what they offer. It'll still be a sinking ship. It doesn't matter if they try to fool people with optimization when you are effectly losing power and features. Lower 4xx SoC series doesn't have the same camera capabilities of the 7xx series. It's not only due to power, features matter too. And HTC removed a bunch of them while maintaining their overprice but it's not gold what they a offering for now...

I don't expect something competitive from them but lets see what they release.

Ya ya HTC we are bored with same old HTC's crap 6inch phone with 2600mah battery with 500$ price tag without HTC Sense 3 :(

We don't need HTC anymore. We can buy Xiaomi Mi 9 with Snapdragon 855 which is cheap.

Guys the news article is misleading. Inone technology is the BRAND LICENSEE for HTC in India and also the owner of LAVA mobiles. What this means is LAVA phones will now be sold under HTC brand name in India and other Asian countries. Support and service will also be provided by LAVA.

Of course this means no Android updates. :)

I'm not from India but I watch their reviews a lot.its obvious they are huge fans of Xiaomi. I dont think HTC will change their mindset with their tradtionional marketing skills for phones that have zero value for money

Though sadly choosing a niche where there is no demand would be a very HTC thing to do (and I speak as a former long-term HTC owner).

Some people just try to make popular devices looks bad and distrupt their sales. Some try to make their phones explode on purpose. I saw also some articles about the exploison of iphones.

For them success will be to sell 200.000 smartphones in India, and only that with Pakistan,Malesian,Bangladesh and Filipines market can keep them in a life.
