Please give us at least one update on this event. It's clear the sgs3 wasn't launched, but at least tell us what was this Samsung Benelux event about. I waited almost 1 month fter your announcement, and now 'nothing'. At least give us details on the deception...

I've played with a Samsung 4G, currently in beta testing several weeks ago.
Would not be surprised that we see that released.
The time difference between say Samsung and, hmm, HTC as a randomly picked example, is the research going into engineering and research.
I don't like beta testing a phone for a company, and having to pay handsomely for the "privilege", so appreciate why the Samsung may be delayed.

If JB gives a complete Desktop experience {similar to what motorola has shown on ubuntu + android}, that should form a good "eco system" and the devs should be able to create suitable apps.
If things goes as planned i guess we may have couple of ecosystems or whatever you call it, Win 8, JB ,not sure about ios..but they will comeup with some version soon.

blueglue, 20 Feb 2012hahaha, good one mate. now that i am spared i shall agree. ... moreI think they have already shown a teaser of how the Tizen UI looks like and I gotta be honest with you, it looks neat. Its like a mix of the bada UI and meego merged and I feel it somewhat has a similarity with TW UI. Probably yup, Tizen could be Samsung next big thing.
I wouldn't be surprise if they are going to make SGSIII with a Tizen OS hahaha! I dunno man but probably they will still stick with Android. Which I definitely give a thumbs up bringning it on SGSIII on ICS.
Another thing, I do hope they do push SGSII to Jelly Bean (which I doubt due to the specs jelly bean's needed with what I red here). I hope samsung won't do the same thing with what they did to SGSI users who is unable to move to ICS due "specs issue" WHICH I feel will happen again to SGSII to jelly bean from ICS which SGSIII will be capable of going to ICS to jelly bean.
Sigh... Oh well! XD

kampsy, 21 Feb 2012i bet s3 will be runing tizen.at last samsung is ditching a... moreIt is not about diluating the brand but it all about the variants that are available that the brand reachs even the common man. As not every body can purchase an SII but people can definately purchase the low cost variants. Android anytime is the best operating system for mobiles. as is allows loads of customisations. the same is not available on any windows or IOS.. Android rules anytime. windows are no where close by.. moreover it is your own personal like or dislike..

Hopefully, they'll finally stop building a dozen versions of the same phone.
They dilute their own brand by doing this. Imagine how much more popular and recognizable the Galaxy S and Galaxy SII would have been had they pushed forward one version around the world? Instead, they constantly cave to the carriers, dilute their brand and give themselves headaches with OS upgrades later.

Anonymous, 20 Feb 2012SGS3 16MP/4cores + Galaxy Tab S (8MP/Dual 2ghz). Nothing... moreMore megapixels on the same sensor size just means more noise. On a big sensor a 2 megapixel resolution is enough for billboard size shots so don't worry about those cameras so much. I much prefer more RAM and a better processor in a device than a top of the line camera. Think of it that way - if you're buying a laptop you're not just comparing webcam specs, these are in fact probably the least of your worries.

Samsung has far too many mobile phones in the market place that devalues all of its devices. People are of the view that a Samsung mobile phone is out of date within now weeks as new versions are introduced. Whilst Samsung has largely taken advantage of current technology, they have dug themselves a hole with the market now expecting a constant flow of bigger and better devices. This will not happen this year. A better screen, or camera, or video is hardly stuff of great momentum at the moment. It is not the market grabber of last year.

Samsung will be releasing a 16 mm thin 32" FUll HD LED TV with capacitive multi-touch screen, Wi-Fi and specially tailored Android ICS etc.
I do not know if it's going to be shown at Samsungs Mobile Press Event.
My friends works at office of www.hifiklubben.se chain in Sweden. A very expensive high end store for TV's and Hi-Fi's that only selss top stuff.
He said Samsung emailed them about this product and that Hifiklubben should put an pre-order soon if they want it in stock around June 2012.
I will be looking out for that one.

Hopefully Samsung impresses.
If they are dedicating a show specifically for Galaxy S III, they better deliver something special.
