A fitness focussed watch relying on capacitive input for most of the UI. This is just stupid. The mechanical rotating bezel is much better. Whether your hands are wet (sweat or water), have gloves on, or want easier control while moving/tired, physical controls are just better.
Then there's the kick in the teeth to the people who bought the Active just a few months ago.
Disgraceful, disappointing and pointless, Samsung.

Wow, comparing this to original Galaxy Watch, this is one hell of an ugly one with black bezels.
And really dumb watch too as it has much smaller battery with larger display (and more pixelated as it's same resolution).
Then goes away the physical bezel and replaced with stupid digital that will not work when swimming or when using gloves. And how exactly are you supposed to protect the screen from banging it at the gym? I thought this is called an "active" watch. Confused.
Basically, this isn't Samsung watch but an Apple watch with rounded screen.

O S, 06 Aug 2019Project Soli is radar-based and different from FaceID tech ... moreA leaked render of Pixel 4 showed 2 holes for Soli so it might need a couple of sensors and is almost impossibl for a smartwatch and 16GB is imo more than necessary as WearOS is far behind WatchOS in apps

LG Superfan, 05 Aug 2019No it won't have soli because it needs complex FaceID like ... moreProject Soli is radar-based and different from FaceID tech which uses multiple cameras IR and RGB along with flood illuminators and IR beam.
Project Soli is purely motion sensing, which is just what a small display on wearables need for navigating the UI, plus it's very intuitive and natural to use.
About needing 16GB on the watch; just look at Apple Watch Series 4, that 16GB is what allows for versatility of having plenty of apps installed and using it as a standalone music player for wireless earbuds.

once you go eink you never go back - been through 2 pebbles and a ticwatch - I'm quite happy with a bip right now. Never again a watch that last less than 5 days...sad that smartwatches that look as good as the galaxy watch active 2 and offer so much apps and convinience still need to charge every day...

Yeah, ECG on a one tiny sensor which will usually be located towards the top side of user's hand... I imagine the results will be relevant as f*ck.
