About the resolution, it doesn't matter if the result don't match the expectation and numbers. It didn't with its previous 48 MP so let see this time where they go and achieve. Las time Redmi won if that was the reference. Next time it's to be seen.

Aspid, 07 Aug 2019You are asuming that the price will enough low to ask for O... moreGsmarena called it flagship without a base. If that was a high-end device, only thing they are promoting wouldn't be the camera.

Also flagship doesn't mean high-end. It means most advanced within a company's portfolio.

Deducing what they are gonna do is easy. Realme is a value for price company and they are targeting Redmi. It's so obvious, even their name is a reference to them. And their phones usually cheaper than comparable Redmi counterparts. Did you see Xiaomi's 64MP camera representation. They just rushed it, just because Realme will unveil their 64MP camera phone.

Compare it to Redmi devices. What people think about when they hear 4 camera and one of them is 64MP? Hey, it sounds better than 3 camera and a 48MP camera! Whether or not it's true. Realme is clearly targeting Redmi K20.

Old phones are selling at below cost. Again your comparison makes no sense.

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2019That's not an answer. Excuse me, but what you are saying is... moreYou are asuming that the price will enough low to ask for OIS when you unknown the price and gsmarena is calling it a "flagship".

Find OIS at reasonable price is not difficult. As easy as search for two years old flagship and there you find them below the price of this phone and they still have overalll better value for the money that this phones offer even being new. This with the new sensor will not match the quality of those older flagships as its software plus hardware will not let it to achieve it and BBK will tell you to buy a Reno or Vivo Next that in fact aren't as good too against their competitors.

In this case the OIS, yes, it could be a waste of money as their software have its flaws plus in the case of Realme even worse to keep Oppo and Vivo some step higher. And no one have said that you need a tripod, i said that they use them for the promotional photos to capture them better than you usually will do with your hand plus the post processing. Not that you need use it to take a photo.

No smartphone needs today a tripod whether or not it has an OIS.

And asking OIS at below 300USD range makes no sense again. No one makes such phones. Nobody did, ever.

Sure they can put OIS this price range, but in order to do that they have to cut some other corners, like sensor.

I bet you would complain about small sensors, if they put OIS with small sensors.

I'm immune to ignorance, but lots of average users reading this comments too.

You can set up 100 camera on the back side of your phone...But without powerful OIS everything will be turn into smoke

The images look way too good to be 100 % real with 0 edit or any kind of manipulation.
Just wait for camera review guys and girls, dont fall for this kind of advertisment.

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2019Do you really need a tripod when a phone doesn't have a OIS... moreTill now the only thing they have shown is the poor components they use. The numbers doesn't matter when the result is crap. Their image processing is also bad and the reviews show it despite the price or range as that doesn't happen with the K20 or other Redmi phones or mid-range phones from other brands when they are calling this a flagship... So it's not a matter of price instead of the result and what you get for that price.

People can thing whatever they want. I only put my opinion. If you poison yourself is your problem.

Long-awaited Xiaomi Mi A3 is bad and there is an opportunity. There is a massive niche in the market.
And Realme instead of making smart strong move acts like cheap attention whore. 64MP! Quad camera!

Aspid, 07 Aug 2019Two of those sensors are a joke. Microscopic. And the bigge... moreDo you really need a tripod when a phone doesn't have a OIS? That's real joke, unless you suffer from an illness. OIS won't be enough to compansate such a strong shakiness.

First bigger the sensor, thicker the camera module. It's already largest stock sensor currently employed in smartphone business. OIS ads more thickness.

Also it's a budget phone probably will be less than 2000 yuan (280USD), which is price point of Redmi K20 considering their portfolio. They probably will offer largest sensor for the price on top of that, they will also offer fairly large aperture at that camera module.

Of course you are entitled to have you opinion, but what you are complaning is totally nonsense considering the price range. For the probable price it will have a GREAT main camera, not to mention extra cameras with extra tricks which is all welcome.

Even 1000 to 1500USD phones doesn't have such extra cameras with large sensors.

All in all you are poisoning the minds of clueless people.

Two of those sensors are a joke. Microscopic. And the bigger ones without OIS. NO thanks. They forgot comment in the advertisements the use of a tripod to capture that photos... and the post-edition too, typical.
