      Indeed there is no doubt that Google is at the forefront of developing the ecosystem, making its competitors look obsolete.         Sad to remember Nokia selling the phone business to MS back in the day...

          It's great, could be better on iGlasses though.

            It's current year, and a lot of popular Android phones still don't have ARCore support

                      Let’s look at this from a different perspective: If you’re using maps, then that means you don’t know where you’re going. If you don’t know where you’re going, you can easily become lost. What does GPS usage do to all phones? Drain the battery. Does camera usage do to all phones? Drain the battery. If you’re on the verge of becoming lost, launching both the GPS radio and the camera will most assuredly leave you stranded with little to not means of emergency communication (depending on where you are, of course).

                          What a great way for Google to get it's users to update it's own mapping software with more enhanced street view, for free while you upload your entire location data to google at the same time...
