Xiaomi Mi 9S (5G) listed on TENAA with larger battery

09 August 2019
The phone will feature a higher resolution screen and a camera upgrade, according to rumors.

Sounds like some welcome improvements to me, I was looking at the Mi 9 as my next phone, with 1 eye on Mi Mix 4 and Mi 10 in the not so distant future. But a larger battery, OIS and a larger and higher resolution screen would all be welcome. I'm sure the higher resolution might be more battery draining, so I doubt the battery life will be much better, if at all.

Will depend on pricing and if there is a marked improvement by those spec upgrades. If not then this might put the Vanilla Mi 9 price down to make it quite the bargain.

1440p screen, OIS and 4000mAh battery? If that happens, I will buy it without even looking at price and alternatives

What else? They don't have those terrible holes and notch is still default 'cause some don't like pop-up.

Apart from other camera improvement is a must here.

What's the advantage of having 5G phone now? Except faster downloading of course.

I wonder what the price of this 5G smartphone will be, if it's in the $500-$600 range then it will sell really well, heck I'll even consider it and I abhor MIUI.

No reason to release this now when in a few months they are going to release the Mi 10
They are ruining their flagships by churning out the same phones with the same specs
No one's gonna buy the mi 9

i think the fault here is the Helio SoC...cause mediaCrap is really power hungry, even so MIUI...and then both working togheter they detriorate battery fast.
