I think HTC should reboot their HTC One series with Android One. I mean, that will be the best phone people will ever imagine about. Think of it, HTC One metal body, edge to edge display, fingerprint under the display, headphone jack, 700/800 series processor and good camera. HTC needs to do this ASAP. I'm saying this because I owned HTC One and I still have it and I know what that phone was in terms of physical appearance and overall build quality.

I really want them to try to make a balls to the wall flagship

          Justifying those overpriced craps :@

I was reading some comments about price tag numbers and thought of putting in my observations.

In India these days, simply lower price tag doesn't work anymore. In past local brands like Micromax, Lava, Spice, Xolo and so on got initial success with low cost offerings. They did gain market as affordable makers, but over time it was realized that the quality was really pathetic. Gadgets showed it's true colors within a month s time. Plus they never saw 4G Volte coming. Exactly at this point Xiaomi entered the market as an affordable maker and One+ entered as 'flagship killer' (affordable flagship in short)

Price tag was matched with Indian players, but they were able to deliver more better quality in terms or hardware and software. Hence, this is where quality for a price entered in the game. Indian makers only got stuck to price tag without worrying about quality and that's where they lost. Chinese makers established themselves by chipping in the quality parameter, which Indian makers never understood.

Now Indian customer is not only price conscious but is equally concerned about quality that he gets for what he pays.
now problem with HTC is, it still thinks itself to be one of the reputable brand. But India has a history of brands which exit the market and are never able to get back during their second stint, even if it means at dirt cheap prices.
Moment any brand exits, Indians understand that it cannot be trusted again. Motorola is classic example, where they are still trying to make it's space in market.

It's not going to be easy for HTC, that's in short.

Teaser shows more of flagship models. This might be the flagship from htc.

If htc is focused on flagship models with decent price, it can dominate the mobile world once again.

It will be better to bring back old stuffs like removable battery with other new innovations

                  What's next?

Hmmmm, if the rumors are true... More of the same, an overpriced crap brick. They have learned nothing. At that rate they'll soon end asking 790 euros for a Mediatek P90 phone only online and zero aftersales after you accept it.

Maybe that is the way they choosed, make their last fans bleed money for crap phones to take the last profit with only few workers in the factory.

If you can't afford something, don't complain about it
But don't expect a phone that costs 300 dollars to be sold for 100 dollars just because you have low salaries
Phone is overpriced? Okay, just don't buy it
No need to complain and trash a company just because it has a higher price than you want

It would be just small amount of money to buy 2 or 3 coffee for you. But the price difference is significant in Indian rupees and for Indians whose average income is around 1600$ per year. So next time, put yourself in our boots and try to understand why HTC and LG are continuing to fail in India while their Chinese counterparts enjoy more than half of world's second largest smartphone market.

Specs are pretty meh, will be a hard sell at even Rs.8,000 and I doubt HTC will price it anything below Rs.10,000.

It's better HTC stops with all these entry level phones and start launching mid rangers under Rs.20,000 having SD 670 at least and with those godly front firing speakers of M9's.

Androdude, 12 Aug 2019If priced anything above Rs. 9000, it is doomed at launch. You'd still complain even if it's for 1 dollar

                              I am disappointed with HTC.
                              Notch is uglier than anything.

Those specs ought to be in 100$ tops, entry level phones...

If priced anything above Rs. 9000, it is doomed at launch.

India is indeed an important market for low priced phones, so it better have a very sharp price. I hope they succeed nevertheless.

reminiscing the LG - W series that are released exclusively for Indian markets
and If these HTCs are also similar to that of LG specs and price, then existence of HTC may be at stake in the mere future

It would have been better if HTC introduced a good mid-ranger first. Since there are many competition in the budget range and it will prove fatal for HTC brand in India
