Wlas, 22 Feb 2012The word going round by various Nokia sources and blogs tha... moreNo even need to add milliions of new pixels, just tune up the sensor, and add the best lensses.

Megapixels are not everyting, but sure they are important. But no need to add too much if the lens is not capable of delivering enought detail, or the cell is too dense, and the pixels almost blend.

It dosent matter if it will be equiped with 12 or 20 mp camera . People who dont understand the photograpghy let me tell u that 7.2 mp is enough to print a decent photo with clear and crispy details on A4 paper.U dont need more than that . What we need from manufactures is acamera with manul focus and big sensor / Af stop/ shutter speed and high iso control and ofcurse powerful xenon flash .. And apossiBility to chang lenss . Then u can talk about a decent mobile phone camera but now its all the same .

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2012Yes! That's what I thought... my guess is 16mpl+xenon+leds ... moreThis is Symbian we're talking about and Carla is not due until Q3 so definitely no dual core and 1GB RAM is just too much. I expect same hardware platform as Nokia 701.

I currently have a N8 & i'm still loving it, just wish it had a faster chipset & a wider screen for browsing purposes. If this phone will be a monster as they say then i'd want 2 get a hold on one.

"...but the handset was let down by its unimpressive chipset and less than stellar OS and UI."

LOL. Always have a negative annotation at the end of every Symbian article. Well, prepare to be letdown again. 'Cause the Nokia 808 PureView will run Symbian again, because it's the only OS capable to handle such advanced camera sensor.

To me the N803 is not so much a phone as a camera that runs a smartphone OS and has a wireless data connection. With a data SIM I can use Skype and Facebook Chat rather than phone calls and SMS; as well as upload excellent quality photos/videos to my Dropbox using the quite decent Belle/Carla browser.

A smartphone OS is about so much more than traditional mobile telephony these days! I would keep my WP7 handset for everyday communication, but the 803 would make a great web-connected camera!

The word going round by various Nokia sources and blogs that this will leapfrog the N8 camera, we're talking DSLR territory. Likely to be a huge jump from 12mp, figures are suggesting anywhere between 24-40 megapixels.

I hope they get this out soon not the usual 7-8 month delay..As N8 is 16 month old folk using N8 will be coming out of 18-24 month contracts and upgrade to this.Even if they hate symbian a lot of techies have the N8 in their back pockets as its the best camphone on the market.
