.alpha, 14 Aug 2019Companies need to come together to put their maps together ... moreunless you're an idiot you should already know there are several map services out there already, why join Huawei ? what because it's Chinese ?

Google maps is fine for normal use but there are proper mapping / logistics systems out there which are far more detail and useful

And less the high precission ones used for aviation and other specific tasks or jobs. Surely Huawei either, and more after the work done and the investment made. They provide the hardware and insurance that will have offline function if it is based on your telephone stations around the world. Its approach is more of a platform for third parties, that way they avoid any objection to it, especially in the USA since there will be companies that want to do business on said platform such as the one named Booking Holdings.

                          Too bad Nokia is giving up with Here. It's really great service, first with offline navigation, the one to break Google Maps monopoly.
