I really like this phone particularly because of its high resolution display and quad-core processor. I’m all about watching content on my phone so this one really suits me. More often than not I watch TV shows through the DISH Remote Access app but I don’t have an awesome screen so get an average quality picture. It would be great to get the same quality I get at home from my HDTV and HD programming from my employer, DISH. I hope it’s released in the US soon after it’s released in India.

Tom, 23 Feb 2012That is not true. Dual core lg phones, like the Optimus 2X ... more 2x was a fail except on the benchmarks, the browser and the ui still lag very much, though the old exynos dual core will be as smooth as this one combined with well builded software.

Imagine if LG ships with with a vanilla ICS UI, there is probably nothing the competitors can do to beat the smooth UI experience but also go with shipping the device with a vanilla UI. There should be an option for this with flagship phones.

nice to see that LG has started coming with powerful smartphones like Quadcore Optimus 4X HD. it's not fair to compare it with Samsung Galaxy Note as dat's a different thing. it should be compared with Samsung Galaxy S II.

Dual core lg phones, like the Optimus 2X for example, are way better performance wise compared to single core phones. Proof is in benchmarks, gameplay, HD video recording and playback, etc.

Well it is the first quad core so that means as time passes there will be some better and better quads so this won't be top of the offering when that time comes and I sencerely hope that LG will make same phone with diferent quads as they apear, this is just marketing, to have 1st quad core phone on market, I even hope that they will put a-15 duals in the same chasies because i think 4,7" is great size and AH-IPS is great screen...

Again, they are gonna be the first one to launch a quad core. I hope this doesn't come to the point that it will lose against a better phone, like what happened to 2X before.

Yes hardware is awesome. Phone looks great. BUT the story was the same with the older Optimus 2X, when it was announced and look how that phone turned out :( The Android implementation was full of bugs and errors and support is virtually non-existant with LG. I really want to hope that LG has learned from past experience and that this Optimus 4X will kick ASS but I have my doubts and the little to no support by LG, will give them profit losses they can feel. Prove me wrong LG.

4.7 inch screen, 720p high-res screen, and 1.5 ghz quadcore powered by a tiny 2,150mah battery? That's like having a 300hp car with a small gas tank.

Typical LG. LG phones are always known for short battery life. At that size, nobody would mind if they make it a little thicker just to fit in a 3,300mah battery.

as the announcements comes day by day for new phones by LG, is looking they gone to cover the smartphone market by this year very strongly......but they have to do some things properly,,like
1} they have to launch the phones worldwide on early basis not like late as they always are...
2} have to do the strong & hammering advertisements..
3}have to cocentrate big markets like india and china and us...
4} have to give the ultimate accessaries with phones and extraordinary packaging.....and many more

Here we go again another boring slab,,these are not mobile phones anymore that you put in your pocket and pull out and flip open to answer..No these are just screens and thats dead easy to manufacture..I was going to say dead easy to design but that would be a lie,,WHAT DESIGN??

Getting way bored of todays boring miserable boring souless slab mobile phones i mean they are not really mobile just awkward..I look at Sharps clamshells and they have decent 3 inch screen which you fully get in real screen estatewith real buttons,, whereas todays screen smartfone loses estate with pop up touchscreen keypad..So it is possible to build a clamshell with decent screen size...The thing is they wont because of design costs and they dont have designers at any of todays phone companys bar BB and Nokia.

Yes a look on any of gsmarena sites and its like walking into a TV shop and seeing all those screens when its actually a mobile phone site..
