wasox, 15 Aug 2019Now, I would like to see the comments from all those haters... moreThis looks exactly like Lumia 1020 though, especially with a tall rectangular cutout that is likely to be housing a xenon flash. It's not a brand new design but IMO aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Is it you Pro, 15 Aug 2019The gimmick is change from "dice" to circle. The design isn... moreDont worry. Xperia 2 will change camera arrangement from centre (Xperia 1) to sides, just like Iphone, P30, Note 10 does and of course for you suddenly theres nothing wrong with that.
Pretty sure to my eyes, Mate 30 series circular design looks great. And a lot of people will attract to it, more than Sony does, as usual.

M33, 15 Aug 2019This is next year Iphone design There's no way that Apple will adjust the logo down to put the circular camera in the center. I wish Apple would start using a Titanium body and an Apple logo cutout made of glass to make use of the Wireless Charging. I think the wireless charge really happen on the centerpoint of the coil.

Yes, the circular module looks exactly like most Moto & older Nokia design, but lets not to forget that Mate 30 has superior large camera sensor beneath it, and still stick with their centric design since Mate 7. Plus circular looks on camera is just on point (like a whole big lens, always love Lumia 1020 back in the days). Theres a leak that the multi camera arrangement on Mate 30 looks like Porsche car headlights, which is cool. And maybe they goes from square module to circular just to run off from next Pixel & Iphone design (inspired from Mate 20).

Apple & Goo... moreYes, that really makes sense, but, as I said before, the fanboys/haters always point to some brands accusing them of stealing designs, there is not much to do in terms of design to make thr final product not too exotic or flashy, look at the rog phones, I like them, their design is unique, but, as it is, it does not appeal to the vast majority of the market, in order to please as many potential consumers ad possible, the products result looking more or less the same, with little variations

This is a refinement of the Mate 20 design. Apple & Google decided to copy the Mate's iconic square design, so Huawei decided to make some changes to make their device stand out. This follows the same design language as the Mate before it. Pay attention to the whole layout rather than just looking at the basic shape of it.
