Again, actual remote of course always better. Having IR blaster is just an extra features, and to me its very reliable.

They will tell you the "waterfall" curve screen must have the best haptic than anyone.

When you know ex-Nokia engineers are working on camera/photo R&D for Huawei, then yes Xenon flash would not surprise you. Neither would the resemblance of the lens design etc.

Their camera more artificial. Crushed & smudgy details (creating a lot of ringing halo), oversaturation like crazy, dynamic range that too over the top.
U might wanna check your eyes.

Thank the universe for the IR blaster. Really convenient using it to control home appliances, even at the office. I'm just not taken to adopting the curves of the Samsung flagship screens, even less so with the P30 pro and what more with this one. Which device to turn to when my P20 pro eventually asks me to upgrade? Probably a past flagship with 3.5 mm headset jack. But I will probably miss the IR blaster that most other phones don't have and of course, the most versatile Huawei Leica cameras.

So much that people lie publicly to try to avoid it ... Anyone from the competition maybe? Or some hateful fan? You can cry and lie what you want, but success is assured for these phones.

I like how that flash looks like. Seems the first one in years since those xenon ones that looks like a "real camera flash". Hope its a xenon one. We will see.
We have readed about the Mate 30 Lite and Mate 30 Pro a lot but zero words about the Mate 30 or 30X until now...

Nothing, and that's why it needs to stop. I don't even like my S10's subtly curved display because it's so hard to protect it with a screen protector and a case, how am I supposed to like this stupid perpendicularly bent waterfall crap? Huawei and Oppo sometimes do some stupid thing for the sake of the originality, do you remember Mate 20 Pro's in-charging-port speaker that sounded absolutely horrible especially when something is plugged into it? This is exactly like that except this makes even less sense.

Nice curved screen you have there. So sad if you end up covering it up with an ugly case to protect it from breaking.

Im sure this will look nice but really, what is the point of this waterfall screen design other than eye candy?
Samsung already did it and then scaled the curve back.
OPPO recently showed this type of design off and had us asking what the practicalities of using such a screen shape.
How good is the palm rejection?
How distracting is the screen glare?
How resistant is the screen glass to scratches, cracks and breakages?
What is the solution for protecting the screen and phone with a case?
Anyway, I hope that my pessimism is unfounded as I really like how Huawei are pushing this state smartphone industry forward, so I am going to try to be a bit more open minded.
