The colors and dynamic range are ok, but the micro detail is awful. The level is on the A Series. Shame on such an expensive phone. I think I'm missing out.

Photographer told me once Samsung phones take photos from intagram only.
Don't look at them on big screens nor print.

NR needs to be down by 50%.

robdevil XI, 18 Aug 2019And you also get crap exynos experience. Crap? You should really research things and experience them before got insert your foot in your mouth like that.
The exynos has lead in cpu, audio, and efficiency for years. Even had a better gpu in a number of generations.
Just the last two had issues because the early trials with large cpu cores.
But the 7nm euv process on the 9825 vs the 9820 definitely makes a huge difference in its efficiency and thermal performance.

Im used to processing raws at this point when i need a refined photo.
I think it's very ridiculous that you dont get hdr stacked images in pro mode. In fact it would require less processing on the soc technically. As long as the shutter speed is low enough that is.

And that we dont get a bracketing option.

Not my kind of photo, indoor it looks like someone did a contouring on objets (for example the tap, but also the planks on the wall), outdoor ones have a strong water paint effect (tree foliage are just a mush of green).
But well, good looking phone anyway.

Not sure why samsung isn't putting a 10x zoom and a decent night mode. hence will keep my p30 pro for another year.

U didnt used the HDR+ function on pixel 3, probably even the Pixel 1 makes better photos with the HDR+ active in comparison with any existing samsung device.

"The Galaxy Note10+ retail package is rather generous"

It's literally the same as note9 retail package and basically all Samsung flagships since note7, except for faster charger. The one thing they must have included they didn't, usb to 3.5mm adapter

AverageUser, 18 Aug 2019Still better than motorized "pop-up" cameras that'd make it... moreMotorized popup camera I prefer because water resistance like IP68 is only valid for sweetwater. If you use your expensive mobile in saltwater or chlorinated water, it might get damaged, and Samsung will not replace the device. Water damage is not covered by warranty. In the shower you can use it though. The battery can still be large enough as the Asus Zenfone 6 shows which has a 3.5" jack as well. No problem. I still use an S5 because of the replacable battery. This shall be standard for all cellphones. Probably we need a regulation.

I think GSMArena should also compare the indoor image quality between multiple devices and not just daylight and low light. That's where some devices completely fall apart(e.g. Sony, Xiaomi phones) since the phone struggles to make a proper white balance adjustment and fail to activate HDR because of complex lightings.
