Well, the human ear is receiving sounds from 2 directions. The main one is the obvious one (perpendicular of each ear) and the secondary one, from the back! If the headsets doesn't cover fully the ears, we will still bothered wit noise from the back.
Not a surprise, Chinese industry isn't creative, it's more copy and paste.
