Jimbob, 20 Aug 2019Now thats a large device I can hold with one hand. The Fold... moreUh, the the folding Make X is both wider and taller than the Galaxy Fold in either configuration. That 4.4mm thinner depth makes all the difference for you?

Question: can you apply screen protector to Foldable display phones like this Mate X, since it's display is plastic it may catch scratches pretty easily

Maybe they should include a slip-in case with soft insides to protect the screen.

Jimbob, 20 Aug 2019Now thats a large device I can hold with one hand. The Fold... moreYes i know that thx, but u can use protection as many of us always use for smartphones, i wrote this some where, so no difference. But if i really cant protect it, i will think one more time for sure and wait for another gen, dont want the Sammy fold neither, looks to cheap and 1 gen ( proto type ).

BigDisplay, 20 Aug 2019Actually a gen 2 version hmmm, ya kind of. Wouvvvv this ... moreIt doesn't work like normal phone. It has plastic screen. Scratches very easily especially the screen is outside. Good luck with that plastic. Fyi, Mate X is pricier than G.Fold.

That is a wise decision. Launching with outdated hardware would've made it interior than the Galaxy fold. Now it's better than that.

If the screens remain in the outside when folded, they will get scratched as hell, as the screen is plastic and a protector is not an option, I think that this whole folding idea is just a proof of concept, not really the future per se, at least for now

I hope it has 5 cameras like mate 30 pro 5g

I want to se the mate X out already. This is a device that makes no sense for gaming or for the ordinary usage but seems perfect for work environments for people that handle and need to pass lots of information. This could be the new Blackberry.

im not seeing foldable phones in the next 5 years..
