The design is certainly something meant to take on Motorola’s upcoming foldable RAZR.

dhruv, 22 Aug 2019While i do agree that having bigger screens on phones is a usefu... morePhones are, in a lot of peoples' opinions, too big these days. Too big to use comfortably 1 handed, not to store in ones' pocket. Folding a device to make it thicker but shorter IMO makes it less comfortable in the pocket. It solves a problem that didn't need solving.

The problem that should be addressed is smaller overall handset, but can unfold into a larger screen 'tablet' format when it's convenient.

So the flip phone is back in a new age package.

Joe Dickson, 22 Aug 2019The only reason to have a folding phone is to get a bigger scree... moreWhile i do agree that having bigger screens on phones is a useful idea, modern phones are already plenty large. Therefore having a phone that folds vertically and reduces the footprint making it easier to store in your pocket is an equally good use of this tech if not better. Most people are not power uses or enthusiasts ,and use their phones mainly for communication and social media. Having a larger phone does not make as much sense for suck people.

still hope for rollable display phone, no crease

look stupid nonsense foldphone! phone size 7x15cm still can put in our pocket why need to fold phone.....it's look bad. Maybe size pen-phone with scroll screen better for research than foldphone.

The only reason to have a folding phone is to get a bigger screen. This makes no sense.

the way it folds, I prefer the Motorola than samsung

Refer the mockup renders showing, this folding phone will only use main camera for taking picture or selfie and for selfie it has a viewfinder display. But in real-life usage, it can be annoying when switching back camera between selfie. Furthermore this folding phone must be thicker before expand it. I don't think this is a great design but is a nice try.

BigDisplay, 22 Aug 2019No thx, i want the Mate X fold design, not this...Personally, I'm down for that Z shaped foldable that Samsung and Huawei patented. That looks interesting
