The a50s and A70 both have pentile matrix and feel less sharper than most 1080p phones. Heck even the Xr feels sharper. However, thanks to the 1080p resolution the pentiles cannot be seen . I have the 6GB blue version

and what you said is not an universal fact. Nothing is universal. Who you are so everyone should obey to your opinions? what you are saying are just some buzz words. But what I say is FACTS! put xr and galaxy s10e side by side. there is no possibility that xr will look sharper than S10E even though samsung manufactures the display for xr too.

First XR display isn’t 720p.. and second not always resolution is the absolute deciding factor for display quality. A 1080p amoled, (not the samsung diamond matrix super amoleds) has pentile matrix.. so XR display is actually sharper than a normal pentile amoled if you pixel peep.

And besides, I dont care if it has 50% more pixels or not, that is not the thing i see, the thing i see is $300 Galaxy A50 having 1080p screen and bigger battery, but $750 iPhone XR. OR, i see galaxy s10e with headphone jack, ip68 water resistance (67 on xr), and a dual camera. Yeah the screen is small than xr (6.1 on xr 5.8 on s10e), but i would sacrifice 0.3 inches in change of that hair style notch and 1080p screen. and dont get me started on saying the differences of 720p vs 1080p.

Do you mean XR?.. if you do .. then let me clarify, iphone XR isn’t actually 720p.. it has 50% more pixels than 720p displays. Secondly, not every sub 1080p display is created equally. Iphone XR has the best LCD ever on a smartphone, the subpixel quality, color gamut, calibration, hdr support and apple own display mode aka true tone... Now there’s another difference between xiaomi a3 and samsung a30s... even tho thye hav same resolution, the mi a3 is actually pentile arrangement so the actual number of pixels are lesser than a30s diamond pixel arrangement aka super amoled tech

It wasn't until recently (Mi A3) that they started going back to 720p. Most of the time that resolution was reserved for budget devices around $100-200 USD (Moto G7 play & power)

At first I was hoping for a Sony model, but obviously they prefer to lose this market outside Japan, not sure that they are gaining market share by addressing the Chinese though. Concerning Apple, I have an obvious reluctance to send my data to the USA, I have no confidence in them.
