Steve Jobs created/led everything that made Apple a big brand. The first time he left, Apple nearly went bankrupt. What revolutionary stuff did Cook and his team bring to the table? Here's a clue: Starts with N, ends with G. Everything else is basically filler stuff or their own flavor of something already available yet with marginal improvements.

Guess there's also the Alcatraz of phones where no quality ever escaped, safe from contraband berries.
When more brands get relevant enough to be criticized or have any iconic characteristic beyond "I'm just another ODM device", more names will follow.

Huawei commands the largest army of drones (known in China as Huawei's "navy") anywhere, this is acknowledged by any non-Huawei fan remotely aware of the state of the industry.

And xiaomi warriors, oneplus loyalists, and other fanboys out there. Why ppl cant just admire and relish on their favorite brands without degrading other brands. Gsmarena would be better off without these fansboys making noises here and there.

Sammy "Kill Jack for 0.1Ah", Haweii, Xiaomi, Hexed Tormented Company, Sony Invisible Xperia, Aoogle iPixel, ReallyJustRebrandedOppoMe, OppoVivoBBK, OneHypocrit+, Motolenovo "one update is enough", Lienovo, HMD's Nokia reboot, LG the other Korean company... They all have their fanboys. Some are just louder but don't let that manipulate your opinion on a company or their products. That's unfair. I do hope you don't make judgment on groups of people like this because it is unfair and very often inaccurate.

Just blindly throw non objective statements against what they believe are the evil enemies, huawei is big, huge entity, backed by an inmensely powerful authority, making business from the most populated country, extending its tentacles all over the world, so, it is NO SURPRISE that huawei is doing fine, despite any present or future ban, huawei might very well do business in just china and earns tons of money, but china is not their real goal, huawei was not founded for just making money, the real purpose is to be omnipresent everywhere, google services is just software, you can eliminate it if you wish, as china does with all devices for use in china, but huawei is hardware, you buy a huawei device and the hardware is not something you can manipulate to eliminate any undesired thing

It, as a supposedly private company, receives direct, public, unabashed and unapologetic endorsement from the Chinese government and state media which is not allowed in any democracy (it's called state-business collusion), while the Xi regime is, at least self-proclaimed, a democracy.
Huawei receives vast interest-free funding from one of China's policy banks, and any action by a policy bank is action of the state.
China's vast telecoms infrastructure was closed off, only available for Huawei's and ZTE's taking for many years until very recently. Currently up to 25% of foreign involvement is allowed, therefore still 75% of the market is closed off. US banning Huawei is the least it could do to level the playing field.
China still has in place many other trade barriers while it's playing the victim card, they're not willing to give up the handicaps handed to them when they joined the WTO as a small-time power even as it's grown many times now into a superpower, and they call requests for a fair trade policy "bullying".
