HTC have just lost my business. Had a Desire for nearly 2 years now but have been waiting for quad core handsets before I upgrade. Why do manufactures not see the importance of microsd slots. I have a 32gb card for my desire which would be redundant with this phone. I know 32gb is a lot but I have a friend who has a 32gb iPhone 4 and he is complaining about storage. Microsd is convenient for transferring files and like another poster said is more private. Epic fail on HTCs part in my opinion. Roll on Galaxy S3

I find it insulting to spend so much money and then having to spend additional amount of money to "fix" my device.
We are not in the 00s anymore, the chips are so thin they have enough room for much better batteries. Motorola has a 3300mah battery in their Razor Maxx and it still under 10 mm

I have brought gsm HTC EVO 3D a week ago, for more than a resonable price (285 euro free of contract including Micro SD and a car charger). And the battery has 1750 mAh. Enough? Not a chance! the big display (4.3") and the screen resolution (qHD) are eating it in no time! For the first time i'm considering buying a spare battery for my HTC (i've owned 6 HTC over the time).
So, after this introduction...my question is: a 4.7" 720p screen and JUST 1800 mAh battery!?!?!? Don't matter the quad core, there will be no more than 6-7 hours of autonomy! Does anyone think that APPLE are idiots for maintaining their screen at just 3.5"? The reason is battery consumption when having big screens AND high resolution!
For the rest..it's a very nice phone, cool specs, a path opener, as HTC has done it before with TYTN II or HD2. Good job...but prepare to buy some extra Anker batteries :P

The HTC One S is expected to the thinnest of HTC’s new devices,is about 8mm thick. The One S will be a considerable step up from the HTC One V with a dual-core Qualcomm S4 MSM8960 processor, 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, 8 megapixel rear-camera with an f/2.0 lens, 1080p video recording, 1650 mAh battery, Beats Audio, Android 4.0.3 and HTC Sense 4.0. so

Yep no surprise here, just what i thought - extremely patheric battery as always. What's the point of all the power when you will have it for no more than 2 hours if you decide to take advantage of it? Oh yea i forgot, it needs to be so thick you can't even use it comfortably, bercause it's "better looking" that way and [sarcasm]as we all know design is the most important aspect of any "hi"-tech device[/sarcasm].

It has NFC and non expendable storage, 32GB schold be enough. I'm worried about battery life.

I don't think many would buy a phone above 4.3 inches.
This phone is not for mass consumption and will have problem on sales

Once again, the reason an micro SD memory is so important to me is PRIVACY. I do not want some phone repair person or some cloud in the sky sharing or accessing my more sensitive personal files. 32Gb phone storage is great when supplemented with an expandable memory. Massive fail HTC

yeah, I'm retarded for thinking simply adding a 32GB microSD is a good idea for a storage option.
25GB of Dropbox online is obliviously cheaper and
faster to store my music and videos on.
What was I thinking, i have the data plan for that speed i think...

HTC ONE X needs a better design
Stats are desirable but the design isn't
Wouldn't give this a second look if somebody else was using it, at least they not participating in the iPhone lookalike competition

Sorry HTC, until you give me a phone with a great battery, I am not buying. I use a DHD and the battery is crap. What use is a smart phone you leave alone to conserve battery life? or a mobile phone that ties you to a charging point?

Androids are battery guzzlers for a reason, owners play with them a lot. It is like fitting 4.6 litre V8 engine with a tank that can only take at 30 litres of fuel.
