LG and Naver develop a new browser called Whale for the upcoming foldable phone

27 August 2019
It will support the so-called “omnitasking”, allowing to carry out several tasks simultaneously on one screen.

[deleted post]What a point!

Well that's a very good looking foldable phone. It reminded me of ZTE's Axon M, though that didn't really catch on because of the price. If LG would make the screen... all-screen, I am definitely looking forward to it.

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2019Whale has been out for years for phones! I've been using it... moreYes, Whale has been out for some time now but what the announcement said is that it's now been redesigned to work with dual screens. You'd need a dual screen phone to confirm this, though!

Vasra, 27 Aug 2019The company who can't even get their OS updates right is go... moreLG didn't make the browser, nimrod, Naver did.

Well, "whale" is a slang for the rich ones who spend A LOT in a game. You know, lotto boxes and such. Getting prototype technology also sort of lotto box too because we might get trash/dead technology for our money.

Good to see more and more foldable phones...

The company who can't even get their OS updates right is going to make a good browser?
For some reason I'm not setting my hopes up high...

Still i love Opera more and TOR for a private secure brownsing.
On opera i am able to close it with all web pages i am using open when i start opera.
I use around 20-25 web pages daily. Also i am freely able to change my VPN and hide my location.
In case of TOR i am able to reach any site anywhere privately secure and even those which are restricted for basic brownsers.
Dunno whats whale do or what is capable off but to me Opera and TOR are best brownsers for my daily needs.
