Also i have a remote controler for my home cinema and TV setobox which is also far more practical than using a phone.
Just switching between 3 different devices in a phone when i can pick ordinary remote which has been included to the exact device if far more practical than use of a phone to do that.

Well then why have a camera built into your phone when you can just use an actual camera?
Why have an internet browser on your phone when you could just use an actual computer?
The answer is convenience.
It's more convenient to have them together in one thing rather than have to have loads of separate things.
I suppose you you hate Swiss army knives too?
Too many useful things put together?
Why have a can opener on your knife when you could just use an actual can opener..?
What about sporks? Hate them too?
What about 3 in 1 shower gel, shampoo and conditioner? Why have them them all together when you can just buy loads of separate things..?

Remote controler is for TV HiFi Audio etc.
Phone is for something else.
IR Blaster is just for lazy people who needs to use their phone for something for which a remote controler for that device were made.

Pricing wise its probably due to mediatek aggressive pricing to bring their chips into the market. Qualcomm doesn't have to play the pricing game as their market and performance has not been challenged (Exynos and Kirin are used mostly in-house)

Pricing is alright. RN8 must be about price of RN7 (under 200E here) since it's not too much upgrade actually and compete other brands' models (Honor, Realne). It does. We'll see what exactly you get in 8 against RN7 except new design. Possibly overall (little) better camera section.
As for Pro, NFC suggests it'll be available globally then. Again, price is comparable to competition (9X Pro, Realme 5 Pro). Similar with specs like screen size, weight, cooling and macro camera (who knows, maybe usable) so this isn't surprise. What remains to be seen it's that Helio thing. Don't rule it out until we have full information about performance, battery drain, upgradibility... (It can be done then if needed :) .)

Just buy a phablet or tablet. Wider phones aren't any more useful than taller phones. Just makes it hard to fit in pockets.
