Tele cameras on all phones have 1.0μ pixel size.. why not increase it to 1.4μ?? I don't know what it can cause to the camera humps.
And it looks like Google is not going after notch which is pretty cool. I hope even XL version don't follow that wrong path like they did with 3XL.
Pixel's only drawback is price. They think they are iPhone of Android. Which clearly isn't as they fail in memory management.

Wow, that is the most boring looking phone ever. This is what Google bought HTC's research and development division for?
And like it or not, the two tone design was the signature characteristic of the Pixel phones. It's what made them, as a brand, immediately recognizable. I will never understand when I company works hard to build up a brand that people recognize and then decides to throw it out the door. It would be like Kleenex deciding to change their name to "Superior Tissues" or something. Talk about a self-inflicted wound.

I can only hope that both sims can be open at the same time. I don't mind the esim but I want to have it and the regular slot open at the same time. Please google.

Let's say it had the camera shaped like the letter P, but, they nailed the camera quality, battery, screen, performance. Most would forgive them for odd camera layout.. Indeed, Google would have nailed it. But by picking such low battery capacities, they have ruined two potentially epic devices. The smaller one is just plain ruined by a sub 3300 battery. The bezels and shape of the camera hump are trivialities. The rest is game changing.

I like the Pixel 3 a lot. Small gripe is that the standard camera mode sometimes makes people look a lot older than they are accentuating lines etc like painting. Not always. But noticed. otherwise awesome. Wish they had the option of T9 key pad. Great for masculine fingers.
Pixel 4
Hope the back can remain a matt finish, if they dispose of the two tone. Matt is cleaner and classier than the shiny filth - smudge ridden glossy backs.

Google Pixel takes world noisiest photo. But you ask about it to google they always shows you a excuse that they’re camera has better details.

Qimchi, 28 Aug 2019I do agree on that but correct me if I'm wrong please but I... moreOil painting effects got nothing to do with Quad Bayer system or Pixel Binning method. Remember the Oneplus 5 oil painting issue? Later on they fix it on update patch. That phone using pure 16mp.
Its all downs to the image processing algorithm in jpeg and maybe because of image stacking.

To understand what I mean its like upscaling a photo with AI like using Waifu2X. It's a website you can use to upscale your photos and it gives of a tiny bit of oil paint artifact. https://waifu2x.booru.pics/
But yeah for me I think if they do it right the pics will look very good even compared to 48MP phones like Oneplus 7 Pro compared to the Pixel 3a

Kurdistan , 28 Aug 2019No , huawei upgrade there sensor in every flagship . but y... moreHad pixel 2, the camera quality was so artificial and horrible, and during that time it was top of DXO mark scores. Had to switch to Samsung, then Huawei. I will never be getting a pixel again till their HDR doesn't look like an artificial pin up poster and at least add some kinda optical zoom.

Qimchi, 28 Aug 2019more megapixels doesn't mean its better. Google knows what ... more48MP on the IMX586 and since it's Pixel binned by 4, it really outputs 12MP images, downsampled from 48MP.
Pictures from 48MP downsampled to 12MP is better than pure 12MP. All that 48MP of data are compressed to 12MP, making the 12MP look way to clean and detailed. That's the power of Quad-Bayer.
