                                    If apps won't work then why not instead use the browser version - such as accessing Google Maps in a browser. It works on the desktop so why not also the smartphone?

                                      We will never know, Huawei alternative OS might turn mainstream. Google could set up operation outside the jurisdiction of U.S and offer similar services that is organically linked to prevailing services. Think outside the BOX.
