5G carries an increased price over 4G approx $150
It is known that Apple has a double digit % mark up to achieve a certain amount of gross profit
Apple does not give away "technology" so with 2019 being a minor upgrade cycle, iPhone may come with oled screens
There seems to be a "rites of passage" where a two year pre owned iphone is this persons new phone
The plus side for many is that ALL iPhone receive the latest IOS version ( 2 years Android) this may mean held for longer
Some people are on long hold iPhone cycle, so iPhone 11 may be a new iPhone after 3 or 4years, dropping the price would really drive up sales
Albeit 2019, Android 5G handsets are manufacturers 4G flagship with a 5G modem and 4G handset cannot be upgraded to 5G
Apple won't go broke, Apple decision to release another 4G iPhone when 5G is already been rolled out,
This could impact sales significantly, e.g Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will utilise 5G technology.
The 2020 Game will finish before the 2020 iPhones come to market

In fact, the iPhone Xs Max has about $443 worth of components. (I can provide the link to the article if you like) I'm not trying to justifying its $1099+ price tag, but keep in mind that it doesn't even include R&D, employee salaries, advertising, ect.

Despite the ugly back design, at least Apple had the audacity not to use a Huawei design (Mate 20 camera array) unlike Samsung releasing their own P30 with an S Pen.

If the price for the pro variant will start at 500 it should be a good deal but this wont comes true.
So again we will have a whole one year of really lowest of the low sales of apple devices which have nothing to offer and nothing to impress with.
To me 1 extra camera, 2 extra ram, some few mAh to battery and a bit better CPU which can smoothly run everything like A11 bionic 2 years ago did is no improvement. To riase the price or keep it at same level like last year Iphones had when begin to sale and like 2 years old Iphones had when begin to sell.
