Would'nt you want that? We as the consumers will benefit from it. Its like the RAM/ROM size argument from previous years since sony likes to give us lower specs for their flagships compared to other manufacturers with the same price point. Don't get me wrong, i'm a sony fan and still using the z5 compact as sony still have not released a worthy successor.

There are many battery drain test online that show P30 Pro 4200 battery last no more than half an hour longer than X1 3300 battery. By the comments here you would assume that 4000+ batteries last more than half a day longer or something

Spec warriors are usuall... morehey! watch your mouth bro im poco user here...i was big fan of Sony before... flagship components what are you talking about? i got vivaz and zr Xperia back then guess what it didn't last bro not even 1 and a half year...and about the battery lets just say may battery is cheap but its 4000mah boi 3300 or 3400mah is far away from 4000mah bro and guess what it didn't impressed me with there own work on camera... unlike other brand uses sony camera but they make it very good in deed unlike there phone jezz...i can buy expensive phone now unlike the old days no work but now i can buy one but i choose the more reasonable phone and more promising than the phone with only have one feature the name of brand...be wise...

And as I hate notches, this is an ideal choice.

Spec warriors are usually people with cheap devices who think their phone must work the same way as more expensive phones. That's why people think Pocophone is pretty much the same deal as any 845 flagship from premium manufacturers.
Reason cheap phones have bigger 4000 battery is less components inside and no firmware tweaking it's just bruteforce way to improve life and still it will last as Xperia 1 with 3300, those 600 will not make a proportional difference cause you are looking maybe an hour SoT even if so. XZ2 Compact has 2900 battery and it lasts 2 days easy with all the flagship components in tight space that all generate heat.
If bezels are your concern then you have tons of options out there that have hidden bezels (they all have bezels btw but are hidden within curved screens or pipe bezels) but if you can stand poor image quality when it comes to saturation, viewing angles and so on sure why not.
